Blog Posting Email Subscriptions

Purpose

• Provide information to senior editors about how an email and news syndication service (follow.it) is used to support users who wish to receive email, text or RSS notifications when new postings are added to one or more blogging channels.

User Experience

Connect Care blog users can use the "subscribe" button (middle of right column of all Connect Care blog channels) to enter a personal email for subscription purposes. A brief email confirmation process is followed. If confirmed, users then receive a daily summary (posted 0700 MST) of any new postings since their last email "newsletter".

Managing Subscriptions

Logging on to follow.it with cmio-manual@ahs.ca credentials (contact a senior editor for details) gives access to an easy-to-use interface for identifying current subscribers, configuring email delivery functions, and reviewing basic statistics. Detailed tracking information is managed through Google Analytics.
